Bluegrass Academy offers a range of classes and learning opportunities for behavioral health professionals. From continuing education courses that meet state licensing board requirements to state approved curriculums for targeted case managers, community support associates and peer support specialists, we offer options to fit your needs and schedule. Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (ASMR)

AMSR training is a one-day workshop for behavioral health professionals. The 6.5-hour program presents the five the most common dilemmas faced by providers and the best practices for effectively addressing them. Teaching and skill-building methods are based on the latest research and designed to help participants provide safer suicide care.

Adult Peer Support Specialist Training

Monday, February 18, 2019, 1351 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY, Building 3, Newtown Room

February 18th - 22nd, 2019

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily

Bluegrass is approved by the Kentucky Department of Behavioral Health to present this 30-hour program offering the curriculum required to become a certified Adult Peer Support Specialist in Kentucky. Trainings are open to anyone in recovery from a mental health, substance use or co-occurring disorder interested in working as a PSS. All application materials and fees are due by 2/11/19, 5pm. Seating is limited. In the event registration is full and spots become unavailable for February 2019, you may opt to register for the next scheduled training in May 2019.
