Bluegrass Academy offers a range of classes and learning opportunities for behavioral health professionals. From continuing education courses that meet state licensing board requirements to state approved curriculums for targeted case managers, community support associates and peer support specialists, we offer options to fit your needs and schedule. Community Support Associate Training

This 10-hour training satisfies the curriculum requirements for Community Support Associate certification by the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, covering principles of recovery, promoting resilience, psychiatric rehabilitation, and effective communication. Provides an overview of mental health and co-occurring diagnoses, as well as appropriate crisis intervention skills.

Cost $100/day

Thursday November 8th - Friday November 9th

Adult Peer Support Specialist Training

Bluegrass is approved by the Kentucky Department of Behavioral Health to present Adult Peer Support Specialist Training. This is a 30-hour program offering curriculum required to become a certified KY Adult Peer Support Specialist. Seating is limited.

Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk (ASMR)

AMSR training is a one-day workshop for behavioral health professionals. The 6.5-hour program presents the five the most common dilemmas faced by providers and the best practices for effectively addressing them. Teaching and skill-building methods are based on the latest research and designed to help participants provide safer suicide care.
