We are pleased to announce dates for the upcoming Bluegrass/Eastern State Hospital Conference on Integrating Mental and Physical Healthcare in Kentucky.

Bluegrass will be hosting a 1 1/2 day conference at the end of the year for Primary Care Providers in the Fayette County area and across the state to promote awareness of Integrated Care.  Practical clinical workshops will be provided to enhance Primary Care Providers’ ability to address mental health issues in their own practice and introduce ways Community Mental Health can collaborate with them on integrating care.  Participants will learn from various speakers about key challenge efforts in the implementation of collaborative care models.  Examples of common barriers and challenges to be highlighted include physical layouts of facilities, modalities and norms of information sharing, documentation issues and requirements, financial considerations, reimbursement/billing issues, and workforce training needs.  Attendees will benefit from an educational and networking opportunity where those in the field can partner across systems enabling true collaborative, integrated care efforts.
